We expect to have a pretty laid-back environment at the house. Everyone has gotten along well so far, so please don't spoil the chill vacation atmosphere of the house. Treat this house as if it was your parents' ski house.

Share Weekends: To make a reservation, email me which weekends you'd like and I'll post them in the calendar. You can make reservations for "this month and next month". If you want to come up on an empty weekend that isn't yours, send me an email, and last minute we might find you a bed. The reservation priority is: Full shares, reserved half shares, reserved quarter shares, guests, unreserved half shares, unreserved quarter shares. Quarter shares and Guests will probably not get beds on holiday weekends.
Guests & Guest Fees: Guests will be charged a nominal fee for use of the house (Do the math, it's very cheap). Per Night Fees are $25 Sun-Thu, and $35 for Fri-Sat and holidays. You must notify me of all guests in advance, and pay all fees on the first night. Guests will be allowed only when accompanied by a share holder. Share holders bringing guests assume responsibility for their guests' actions and fees. Guests will be limited to 2 weekends, any more than that, they can buy a quarter share. Holiday times are Christmas week, New Year's week, MLK weekend, and President's weekend.
Mid-Week Usage: All shares may occasionally use the house during the week (Sun-Thu nights). You must make reservations with me in advance. Full time tenants are not allowed. For a fee, the whole ski house is available for Exclusive Mid-Week Rental for groups.
Owner: The owner lives upstairs, and checks on the house mid week. Please be courteous to him.
Shoes: No shoes in the house! Please remove shoes in the entranceways.
Smoking: No smoking in the house. Use porch or decks. Do Not Throw Butts in the snow!! Use an ashtray.
Hot Tub: Please take a shower BEFORE using the hot tub. Do not change the temperature or add any chemicals. The hot tub will be cleaned weekly by the owner. You can remove the bromine floater while you're inside. Press the LEFT button only (looking from inside the tub) to turn on the jets. The RIGHT button is temperature, if you press that by accident just wait a minute.
Sauna: Read the directions on the door. It should warm up for 1 hour before use. The timer sets when the sauna will turn on. To turn it on immediately, turn towards the red dot and listen for the click.
Heating: The house uses oil heat. The "flat gold" type thermostats control heating fans, not heat. One "dome style" thermostat in BR4 controls heat. Before leaving please turn it down to 55 degrees. Please unplug all electric heaters in BR1, and turn down the heater in BR2.
Wood Burning Stove: Upstairs. Double pipe, variable flue stove. Make sure the flue is open when you light the fire. Close the doors after the fire is fully lit. Empty only cold ashes far into the woods. Bring wood inside through the window on the right.
Gas Fireplace: Downstairs. The switch is on the same wall, hidden on the right. It is an electric start. If it does not start in 5 seconds, shut off, wait 1 minute, and try again. To relight pilot, find someone who knows how. Before leaving, please Turn Off The Gas Fireplace.
Gas Stove: To relight pilot, find someone who knows how.
Circuit Breaker: Downstairs near the bathroom.
Parking and Snow plow: We have an 8 car maximum in the driveway. Do not park your car on the street or shoulder, or block the owner's driveway. We may need to move cars once in a while for the plow trucks.
Snow Shoveling: If it snows, you get to ski the pow pow! You also get to shovel the deck, staircase, hot tub walkway, and front walkway!
Bedrooms: There is no cleaning service. Towels, sheets, mattress pads, blankets and pillows are provided. Washing, drying, and folding the laundry is up to the shares. At the owner's request, please use a mattress pad. Remember that you are sharing a bedroom with several other people. Please pick up after yourself and clean the room before you leave.
Bathrooms: There is no cleaning service. Keep bathrooms very clean, including your hair from the drains.
Kitchen: Clean all dishes, pots, and pans after you use them, not the next day.
Grill: There is a propane grill outside on the upstairs deck.
Phone: There is a phone for local calls only. Phone number is on the directions.
TV / VCR: The house has a TV, VCR, Cable, and DVD.
Washer / Dryer: For your use, detergent not provided.
Locks & Keys: All full shares get keys.
When Leaving: Follow the "Leaving Checklist" at the house.
Food, Drink, Supplies: We have two fridges. Expect to share milk, juice, beer, etc. All food left in the fridge is communal unless you label it otherwise. Usually, we all cook dinner together on Sat night, so throw in some money and help out if you want in.
Garbage / Recyclables: Please bag all garbage and place it in the outside garbage can near the wood pile.
Storage: Ski equipment goes in the entry room near the front door. All closets may be used for storage for the whole season.
